Happy Autumn II

Last night, when I should have been getting ready for bed, I was struck with the urge to make a card for my brother-in-law in New Jersey.  I liked the previous Autumn card so much, and thought it would be nice for a guy, too.   I added a a touch more to the border with some acorns.  I do wish, though, that I didn’t have to rush these so.

My brother-in-law, Mr. Big Heart, has done so much for our family, and I wanted to give him a special ‘thank you’ to let him know how much he’s appreciated and thought of.

The weather is gorgeous here!! We went from the 80’s to 51 degrees in a flash.  I love it!  Most invigorating.

I’ll be posting a new sketch (or two-I hope) which I drew to illustrate a Halloween song I wrote a few years back, so stay tuned.

Thank you for visiting Leisure Lane.  I send all of you love and good thoughts….and may “Sandy” keep the heck away from you!!

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Happy Autumn

Dear Friends,

A very dear co-worker and friend hurt her back, and will be out of work until mid November.  I’ll miss her very much as she and I keep each other uplifted and encouraged.  Though I speak with her at least once every day, I decided to send her card surprises in the mail to cheer her.  Today I made the first card.

Some years ago I did some ‘doodling’ with watercolor and made small pictures with some fun designs.  I used one of the design ideas for this card.

Painting a similar pumpkin on the envelope added a special touch.

Inside reads:

Just a little note to say…
hope you have a pleasant day!

And I hope all of you have a pleasant day, too.  Thank you for visiting me here on Leisure Lane.

Until next next time, many a Happy Autumn abound!
