Tag a Neighbor’s Day with Love

IMG_1996

Hello friends and welcome to Leisure Lane!

Today I’d like to share a tag I made for my dear neighbor and friend.  She loves to can, and when I found this great vintage label, I couldn’t resist using it to tell her how much I appreciate her.  It was perfect because I got to fill in my own sentiment, and the image reminds me of her, and what she might have looked like during Victorian times.  She’s not the frilly sort, so I kept it simple.  She LOVED it!

I used a good sturdy watercolor paper for the card base, then covered it with the red gingham scrap paper lightly glued to the surface – a perfect canning theme print.  Curled up the edges of the insert image with some lightly wet fingers and added some simple decorated touches to top it off…and voila!

If you have a neighbor or friend, whose day you’d like to brighten with gratitude for them, make a nice tag.  You can make them any size, and they can hang them anywhere.

I hope you enjoyed your visit.  Until next time, may happy days abound!

How cute! I can imagine how this brightened your neighbor’s day. I like how you even found an image that looked like her. Very creative and thoughtful too.
