Kare and Mare: In the Beginning

Kare and Mare 1 (resized)Hi Folks,

I know it’s been a while, but I’m back  with some comics to share with you.  These are characters based on my friend Karen and myself.  I did them back in 2005, and we had some good laughs over them.  I thought I’d collect them, put them on the blog (I plan to give them their own page here on Leisure Lane), and give you some good laughs, too.

Kare and Mare may not see as well as they use to (though they’ll never admit to it), have a few hot flashes here and there, but they certainly still have some mojo to work with.  They’re learning the art of taking care of themselves with lots of humor.  They love life and desserts, and you’ll often see them at their favorite “Cafe DeSerrte” shop.  So stay tuned for the antics of Kare and Mare, and Kare’s  little dog, Vanilla.  ENJOY!!

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Marianne ♥

    Marianne,

    Good Morning,

I checked out these comics when you first told me about the site. They are hilarious and publishing worthy. Send them out to O Magazine, Essence, Vanity Fair and others. Let God surprise you.

All the blessed to you. Shalom.
