“One Love” Valentine Tag

IMG_1708Hello dear friends,

I’m so happy I’m able to get these Valentines out early this year.  I decided to do a tag for my sister and her husband.  I thought I would make one for each of them, but after speaking with my sister, and her knowing that I’m a bit pressed for time, she suggested I just do one.  So I took her advice, and created this “One Love” Valentine tag.  It’s my first tag.

Since it was for a man and a woman, I used a combination of materials that would represent both rugged and feminine aspects.  Then the tag hanger is a combination of jute and a soft decorative ribbon.  The painted corrugated cardboard and the heart’s hand painted abstract background give a nice appeal as the focal with the lace accent.

I may do one or two more Valentine’s, then it’s time to think about the next big project I need to wrap up and get out there to all of you.

It’s always a pleasure to visit with you.  Until next time, may happy days abound!

A Valentine Poem For A Friend

IMG_0877 brightened framedHello, friends…

Welcome to Leisure Lane.  St. Valentine’s Day is almost upon us, AND since it’s my birthday, too, (on heart day) I would like to give a gift for those of you coming to my site looking for a Valentine Day’s greeting for a friend.  The following poem is my gift to you to freely use for personal use only.  Please give attribution to author when you use it.  Thank you.

Happy Valentine’s Day
To My Dear Friend

There’s nothing truly more divine
Than giving you a Valentine
That’s filled with love, and good will, too,
And prayerful blessings just for you.
