Merry Christmas Blessings From Leisure Lane

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, “Fear not; for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day, in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you: you shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.”

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” Luke 2: 7-13

“Good will toward men.” This Christmas, dear friends, may you be blessed without measure, contemplating in your hearts the depth of God’s great Love for you. If you were the only person on the earth, God would have sent Jesus for your sake. The above scripture is not simply a story heard over generations, but the Truth worth meditating on within our hearts. That “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son.” John 3:16  Isn’t that the reason for the season – the reason we give from our hearts? God gave His best and we wish to give our best. But let us, in all our giving, not forget to receive – receive the greatest Gift of all times. The one and only True thing for which to get down on our knee.

Merry Christmas from Leisure Lane, and..

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Marianne
