River Runs Deep: a love story

Hello friends, and thanks for strolling by the lane today.

Last night I had a dream about my book, River Runs Deep, so, today I decided to feature it. This story was quite therapeutic for me in many ways. First, while writing it, I was still working at the awful job I was able to be redeemed from this past May, and little did I know at the time of writing it how prophetic it would be. Second, it was a beautiful way to rekindle a sweet memory that has lasted all these years.

Though it’s a fictional story, there is much truth in many of the story’s circumstances, so it really was, as they say, writing about what you know. If you’re looking for a good, clean romance (like Hallmark, only with a bit more depth), one that puts a lot of story into a short amount of reading time, then I think you’ll enjoy River Runs Deep: a love story.

Come by and visit again. There are lots of things on Leisure Lane to inspire you from past to present. Be brave, think twice, do what’s right, and…

Until next time, may happy days abound!

The Midnight Monster – That Eerie Time of Year

OooeeeOooo! It’s that eerie time of year, and if you’re looking for a good, fun children’s mystery to read to your kids, check out The Midnight Monster on Amazon kindle. A perfect bedtime story that will keep them engaged, but won’t give them nightmares.

Reading with your children creates a bonding experience that will last a lifetime and memories they can pass on to their own children. I began reading to my son when he was about 6 – 8 months old with cloth books. We read together for many years and if I knew the last time I read to him was going to be the last time, I would have soaked in the moment more. Alas, he finally grew out of being read to and now I look forward to reading to grandchildren when that season arrives.

I hope you and your child enjoy The Midnight Monster – let me know.

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Marianne
