The Song of Mary Magdalene

The Song of Mary Magdalene

How can you ask me, “Who is this man?”
How can you see him and not understand?
Have you not heard his words, have you not seen my plight?
Can’t you see in his eyes the Eternal One’s light?

How can you ask me why I feel love?
Can’t you see, he’s the Son of the Father above?
Forgive me for saying your cause is unfair,
And I see in your faces unkindness and dare.

Look in to my eyes.  Can’t you see it so clear?
My soul was once filled with burdens and fear,
But now I have peace, where once there was none.
I cannot explain it; I’m complete, yet undone.

I will not carry your angst and your doubt.
Not now, that I’m free from within and without.
And your questions of uncertainty and unbelief
Can never remove my resolve and relief.

If you remain hardened with hearts made of stone,
Your spirits shall live in the darkness alone.
But I’ll remain joyful while I live on this earth,
And look toward the day…that glorious day,

When my Lord and my spirit unite in rebirth.

Good day to you all.  Welcome to Leisure Lane and thank you for taking the time to visit, while I share a bit of Easter lingering.

The above began to come to me this morning at 1:30 a.m.  I know, I know…my sleep deprivation is another story…but inspiration knows no time or boundaries.  I finished it after breakfast.  I hope sharing it with you brings some extra joy to your day.  I should have more creations to share with you soon.

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Marianne
