Old China Fairy Tale: The Enchanted Dance

The daughter of a poor cobbler, Lijuan’s beauty and grace captivates the heart of her village. But when a curse befalls her will she persevere, or fall victim to its power? The Enchanted Dance is a tale of raw passion, courage and love. Step, if you dare, into its pages. Lijuan will captivate your heart, and hold it in the timelessness of her embrace .

Hello everyone and welcome to Leisure Lane. I hope you enjoyed your weekend.

Autumn is here and the cooler weather makes it a perfect time to curl up with your favorite cuppa’ and a good read. Today I’m featuring a beautiful story set in old China. When I began writing my short tales, I wanted to incorporate new stories that read with the same charm as the fairy tales most of us grew up with.

This fairy tale will surround you in an atmosphere of the supernatural, while engaging you in a young girl’s plight for her soul’s survival. Lijuan’s journey will become your own. Take a step back in time, to an age of emperors, nightingales, and miracles, as you, too, learn the steps of The Enchanted Dance.

Leaving a review on my amazon page, it would be most appreciated :). And, if you don’t own a kindle, check out how you can read from any device on the book’s amazon page.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope your enjoyed your stroll around the lane, and…

Until next time, may happy days abound!

With Cherries on Top Fabric Makeup Pouch

Happy Saturday, everyone and welcome to Leisure Lane.

Sharing the cheeriest (and cherriest 😉 )makeup pouch I made for my friend, M. She loves pouches and I couldn’t resist this fabric.

The lining was a perfect match – don’t you think?

I added a pocket on the back for easy access to lipstick for a quick touch-up, without all the “rummaging”. And a little note to top it off made the gift.

I hope you enjoyed your visit today. That cooler weather is on its way – a perfect time for snuggling with a cup of tea and a good read, so don’t forget to check out my e-books on Amazon, and…

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Little Jack’s Big Purpose

It’s a little pumpkin lantern’s first Halloween, and he’s got a big job to do. But when things aren’t turning out the way he expected, feelings of failure enter into Little Jack’s heart. Can Little Jack’s zest be renewed? Perhaps the stars have some wisdom for him…perhaps they have some wisdom for all of us. Find out in Little Jack’s Big Purpose.

Hello everyone. I hope you’re enjoying a good day.

Do you sometimes need a reminder that you have purpose? Do you ever feel no one notices what you have to offer, or that the light within you isn’t needed by the rest of the world? I think we all feel like that sometimes, and Little Jack is no exception. Perhaps his sweet story might give you the encouragement to keep your light aglow, no matter if you wonder if anyone is noticing. Sometimes what we feel or think may be, is not really what is.

Little Jack’s Big Purpose is a perfect story for children of all ages, and young and old can glean its wisdom wrapped up in this delightful Halloween tale. It’s available on Amazon Kindle for only 99 cents. And, if you don’t have a kindle you can download the free app to read it on your smart phone, tablet, or computer. Just click on read on any device under the order section.

Let me know how this unique Halloween tale has helped you. And let your friends know about it – we all could benefit from some lifting up every now and again.

Thank you for visiting Leisure Lane, and…

Until next time, may happy days abound!
