Winds of Change

0b5d34550ab441d965d17faa39546c8bHello Friends,

Well, it seems it’s time for me to make a residential move.  At least that’s what’s been hinted to me.  My apartment complex has been doing renovations, but they won’t renovate an apartment that’s occupied.  And I didn’t know that it was mandatory.  So to give me a little push out of the nest, they decided to raise my rent all they way up to market value.

On the bright side, one of my elderly neighbors who lives in the next building over, left for Tennessee to be near her son and his new wife.  Having a friend leave is not the bright side, but her apartment is now renovated and almost ready for leasing.  It’s a much better location than the other few available apartments, so I applied for it.  Yes, I had to fill out another application to transfer apartments.  And I’d rather live in hers if I have to make this kind of change.  So hopefully I can transfer there.

This all happened very suddenly on Thursday.  So I’m taking one step at a time in the process as not to overwhelm myself.  I’m trying not to think too far ahead of the game (wow, that’s really hard), but rather stay in faith that God is with me, and all will be well.

I’m looking at it as somewhat of a new beginning, and keeping positive about the whole thing.  That’s really the only choice I have in this circumstance, and it seems like a good idea.  I must admit, though, that I’m not consistent with it as much as I’d like to be, but I’m doing the best I can.  Truth be told, the apartments really did need renovating.  I just wish they had chosen some bright and cheery colors instead of the depressing burnt umber (basically almost black) color for the floors and cabinets. I’m just not into this modern Urban style.  But no one consulted my expertise 😉 before the renovations occurred, so I get what I get.  However, I’ve decided to make it my own little cottage in spite of that…in fact, I may even give it a name, like real cottages have. Or I may just leave everything packed in boxes until my next move.  I haven’t decided yet.  I’ll keep you posted.

Until next time, may happy days abound!

Marianne

Let me say, my dear ones…I make light of things many times or make little jokes, but in truth God is everything to me, and without Him I would not be as blessed as I am today; nor would be hopeful in future blessings. I have been given an upgrade with my new little car, and now I’m being given an upgrade in residence, and soon, I know I will be doing the work of my joy everyday….not just whenever I can fit it in. So Amen to that!! I love all of you ♥♥♥

Bless your heart…….no one likes un sudden change……especially being pushed out of your home so quickly. But where God closes one door He is always good to open another for you. I hope your move goes smoothly and you can start feathering your new nest and writing a whole new chapter!

Thank you, Kathleen…I receive your wishes with joy. Though I will admit that I have trouble keeping up with dusting let alone unpacking boxes LOL… This is why when I begin thinking too far ahead of the game, I back up my thoughts. xox

    Hi Marianne!
How exciting! A move! I bet you can put your decorative touches all over that apartment and make it your own. It bet it will be warm and cozy.
I love your attitude about faith and God. I try and do the same every day. Just let go and let God. He does such a good job.
    xoxo Joanne

Thank you, Joanne. Yes, I love my attitude also, it’s my consistency that I’m not too fond of 😉 But I’m working on it. Your posts always show your trust and excitement about where God may be leading you. Let God be God ♥ xox
