A Memory Filled with Blessings

IMG_0191

Good day friends, and welcome to Leisure Lane…

Something has been recently brought around again to my attention, and I wanted to share part of it with you here today.  In St. Catherine of Sienna’s “Diaglogue”, God, in speaking to her about the journey and growth of the soul, tells her that it is never His intention that the Soul remember past mistakes or sins without the memory of His grace and mercy.  This, He tells her, means that the Soul believes Her sins are greater than Her Eternal Father’s Love and Grace…greater than His ability to soothe, comfort, and help her to begin anew (I’m paraphrasing here).  He also tells Catherine that the memory should be filled with recalling the blessings of God.  What a beautiful statement…that our memories should be filled with remembering the blessings our Divine Beloved has given us.  Oh, can you imagine the beauty and peace our lives would be filled with if our daily recollections were such?

May today your souls be filled with grace, and the knowledge of how much you are Loved.  And may your thoughts be filled with past blessings and the many blessings to come, if you will receive them.

Today let’s visit with Melody, at Brown Gingham Creations, for REDnesday.  Until next time, may happy 🙂 days abound!

Marianne ♥

Deb, dear, may your day brighten one thought at a time. As I mentioned to Joanne, nothing is by accident, I had a hunch to post this and I “obeyed” that spiritual nudging. Thank you for sharing…it tells me that I ‘heard’ correctly and I was right to listen.

I swear I was just talking to my son about this! Mistakes are in the past and can be viewed as a tool for learning. Not a reason to hold us back or beat ourselves up over them.
Lovely. Thank you for sharing Marianne!
    Blessings, xo Joanne
