Kare and Mare: Wings of Change

Kare and Mare 17

Hello friends, and welcome to Leisure Lane…

Kare’s finding out that it’s not always easy trying out new wings after a long cocooning of self discovery and progression.  Sometimes even those who love us may find it difficult to recognize and accept our newfound wings…we look differently sound differently, and act much differently than the caterpillar they’ve known for so many years.  They’ve grown used to one thing, and who really likes change?  But with perseverance it becomes easier for them and for us, as they realize that the new improved version of their loved one is actually someone quite wonderful; and really, deep inside, the same person they’ve always loved, and who’s always loved them.

Chang is hard sometimes. But if it’s for the better, we stick with it. Those that love us will endure to the end and root us on. I’ve seen changes in both of us through the years. I think we’ve grown a lot! I’ll keep on encouraging you if you keep on encouraging me.
WOW! Can you believe it was 2005 when you made this cartoon? I’m so glad you are sharing them.
    Love ya,
    Brenda

True friends really are hard to find. What a blessing it is to have that friend or to be that friend!

THAT is so true! I was just reading a Beth Moore about the very same thing actually. Maybe I’m getting the message? 😉 Thanks!

So true. I have some friends who have known me through thick and thin. They have stayed with me despite my changes. They are my touchstone! xo Joanne
