Hello friends, and welcome to Leisure Lane.
Well, as I mentioned recently I am working on some projects, and one is the cover of my second novella, The Heart of Annie…The Strength of God. What do you think? Yvette from Yvette’sTwistedvines, is a remarkable photographer, and when I saw this photo she had done, I knew it would be perfect for the cover. She has given me permission to use it, and I am very grateful to her. Yvette has been on sabbatical from her blog, but if you get a chance, pop over anyway to see her talent. Her photographs and baking are to be commended, and you will glean some good stuff there.
The book is based on a true story, and is a narrative semi-fiction or re-constructed biography about my great aunt.
The synopsis is as follows:
Though life in early twentieth century America is not always easy, young Annie Salvatore is filled with joy as she embraces the surroundings of her loving Italian family, her everyday life in her adopted country, and the pure happiness of her youth. But as she matures, Annie is awakened to the fact that the love in her heart is not enough without strength. How can she find it? Where will it come from? Through her faith Annie leans on the strength of God as He teaches her heart to forgive and to love more deeply as life unfolds. In surrendering her heart to His strength, Annie discovers the ability to conquer.
Based on a true story of faith, courage, sadness and joy, The Heart of Annie…The Strength of God is sure to uplift, encourage, and entertain its readers from the first page to the last.
I’m still in the process of writing and refining, but I’ll keep you posted on the book’s progress. If you think you’d be interested in reading it send me an email. I’m also working on ideas for giving a sneak peak of the book; either releasing the first chapter, or certain excerpts within. And of course there will have to be a giveaway in there somewhere. It’s all exciting, and I’m hoping to have full-time leisure time very soon to work on all of the wonderful, joyful creative ventures before me.
Thank you for visiting today. I always look forward to seeing you. If you are new to Leisure Lane, may I offer a friendly “WELCOME”, and I hope you find something that peaks your interest.
I’m joining Meri at Love, Meri for Share the Joy Thursday
Until next time, may happy days abound!
