Hello friends…
First, I’d like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my son, Robert – 22 years!!!

7 months
Where did the time fly?
While on an errand I decided to stop into one of the local thrift shops. There I found a sweet little tea cup with the prettiest, daintiest little floral pattern. She was only $0.99. Though missing her saucer mate, she was very happy that I brought her home with me.
She’s made by Noritake – Japan, and her name is Savannah
Isn’t her pattern pretty? Very delicate, pale pink, blue, and green flowers adorn her. And she’s trimmed with gold.
She’s very lightweight ~ not cumbersome at all. My fingers fit perfectly in her handle. Doesn’t she have a pretty shape?
After a nice bath, I dressed her up in lace to make her feel right at home.
Here you can see the delicate colors of blue, pink, green, and white which grace her on both sides.
I feel very special to have found her, and I’m sure she feels the same. I think we’ll have a very happy friendship. I like her just as she is, but who knows, perhaps one day I’ll find her a saucer to be her perfect match. Until then, she and I will enjoy many cups of warm tea and hot chocolate.
I apologize for the darkness of the photos, but a cold front has decided to visit (yay!), and it got very dark, rainy, and the temperature is dropping as I write this. I suppose my new found friend and I made it home just in time.
Thank you for strolling by today. I’m joining Tea Time Tuesday with our host Sandi, and Tea Cup Tuesday with Terri and Martha.
Until next time, may happy days abound!

Oh, Marianne, tell Robert Happy Birthday from us. Where did that time go? It seemed like only yesterday that we were getting the boys together for a play date. I do miss those little boys, but am so very thankful for the wonderful men they are turning into.
Hugs and kisses,
Brenda

Good morning, Marianne! I hope you and Robert have a wonderful birthday celebration. Even if I’m not with my kids on their birthday, I always try to eat cake! I hope you indulge today too
Your teacup is delightful. So soft and pretty. I love your verbiage: “missing her saucer mate …” So poetic and clever. You are truly a delightful writer. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving. I’ve been away from my blog for too long. Having a little surgery next week so my mind has been elsewhere. I enjoyed my visit to Leisure Lane this morning and catching up.
Blessings to you always,
Lynn

Hi Marianne,
Happy Birthday to your son/sun from me, too. Yes, time is flying. Your new tea cup is sweet and I love the sweet story you made for Her. I hope she will find once a friendly and trusty saucer and the will have a long lasting life together.
Best greetings, Johanna
